Hi everyone, welcome to my channel In today’ s video I want to show you how to make this pendant We are going to use the Bead Embroindery technique. In this viedo I’m going also to show you a way to embellish your creations adding fringes Now I’ll list you the material and then let’s get started First of all you’re going to need a piece of beading foundation or lacy’s stiff stuff you just need a small piece This one is white but, as I told you in a previous video you can dye it according to your needs, to match it with the color of the beads some glue a piece of cardboard ( it’s opotional) scissors weaving needle 10 or 11 size weaving thread, I usually use Miyuki you ‘re going also to need a ruller and a pencil and now let’s move on to the list of beads you’re going to need of bugles, these are 2 cm long you can find them on Perles&CO but in this shop you won’t find them easily because if you type “Bugles” you’ll just find those of Miyuki or Toho in other sizes, I will leave you the link in the description to find them easily otherwise you can also buy them on Amazon. 2×3 mm rondelles 11/0 seed beads in three different colors I’m not able to say you which colors are exactly right now except this one that is Miyuki duracot galvanized champagne. these ones… storeging them in these little jars I don’t rememer their name so I’ll take a look on the shop where I purcased them In case I’ll leave the names in description. Tila beads 5mm matt bronze fire polish beads 4 mm your going also to need 2 jump rings if you want to finish the beadwork as I did these are in bronze tone aluminum I made the necklace using the steel clabe In this video I’ m not going to show you how to make it in this video because I want to make another video specifically for this basic technique for the beginners. I finished. If I forgot anything I will update you later I forgot to say that to cover the back of the work you’re going to need the ultra suede. If you prefer, you can also use faux lather, velvet or alcantara the important thing is that it does not fray This is the beading foundation that I previously dyed. I dyed it yesterday and then leted it dry. I decided to use the beige color. Anyway, I’ ll leave you the link of the video where I show my way to dye the beading foundation, ok? Once the foundation is dried I drawn this square with the help of the ruler and the pencil. the lines must be perpendicular to each other. The square must measure 4×4 cm Then I divided the square into four smaller squares that obviously meausure 2×2 cm. Now we are ready to start. Single thread a neeedle with your beading thread make a know at one end and start to work bringing the needle up the middle of the square…almost in the middle I mean that you have to go through the foundation next the intersection point. like this pick up a bugle lay and sew it not over but next to the pencil trace then pass the needle down through the foundation like this. I racommend, do not pull the thread to much because it could easily cut itself due to the very sharp edges of the bugle. Pass two more times through the bead to tighten it against the foundation. Pull gently and after that exit with the needle next the bugle, not too close, like this. The next step is to add this row of beads now add two beads at a time using the bead embroidery technique so, pick up two 11/0’s pull them down to the foundation pass with the needle down through the foundation against the second bead then pass the needle back up where the first bead is strung and pass through the beads one more time and pull. Pick up again two beads changing the color, slide them down against the previous beads pass the needle down through the foundation (against the fourth bead) pull the thread and come back up between the first and second beads, like this pass your needle through the beads and exit the last one. pull continue up to this point Once you finished this row pass your needle through all the beads one more time and then add again one bugle, a row of 11/0’s and a row of rondelles. Now we’ll complete this row together, then you’re going to do the other three steps on your own. Bead embroidery stitch can be personalized Anyway, I think if you learn to work with this kind of backstich you can do everything. By doing this we keep the beads tight to the foundation. Then, to reinforce the beadwork and straighten the row push the needle up through the foundation and go back through all the beads one more time. go down.. and come back up here Now I’m ready to start a new row As I told you before, Next rows are one bugle, an 11/0’s row and a rondelles row that go sewn all the same way Then I’m going to show you how to add the Tila beads As you can see I never exit with my needle too close the previous row Pick up the first Tila pay attention that it’s on the right side because Tila has the back side flat and a slightly convex front side, in the opaque ones we notice less. Slide it down and go down with the needle in this point then come up against the second hole pass with your needle through the Tila one more time to tighten the bead to the foundation Does not matter if you begin sewing from the right or left hole the important thing is that the bead is placed straight I’m coming out of this hole pick up another Tila it may seems difficult but it isn’t go back.. now pick up the third one this time don’ t go back through all the beads just exit between the first and the second Tila and pass through the two beads one more time. More or less we are sewing the Tila in the same way as the other beads No matter which hole you pass through first it’s important pass through both the holes at least two time to reiforce the beadwork.. Pick up the last one come back up the third Tila My thread is short right now in case, don’t worry if you bend the foundation, won’t happen anything pull always the thread go down come back up against the other hole and go back through the fourth and third bead go down come backup here Beading with the camera in front of you is very hard Finish to add the four Tila pass with your thread through all them one more time through the holes on both sides of the bead pull this is the result When you have no more thread block the thread on the back side sewing at random and then make a double knot. add the new thread ( if you need to) and complete this quadrant sewing the last bugle, basically from now ahead you will have to repeat the same work for the other three quadrants Completed (the first part)… cute, isn’t it? Now, spin the work like this come up with the needle here, add a bugle, and continue adding the same sequence of beads these bugles must be perpendicular to each other, obvioulsy… Then, next bugle must be placed like this working counterclockwise. If you start with the right quadrant like me turn the work counterclockwise and sew the same sequence of beads trun the work again and place the bugle like this.. Turn the work the last time and sew the last bugle and the other beads by forming a cross in the middle like this. I hope everyting was clear, if you proceed step by step you can’t go wrong see you later when all this part is done see you later when this first psart is completed.
