Hi, I’m Suzanne. I’m visiting Wire Weaving Dinxperlo today, where I have an appointment with Luuk Hopman. Hey Luuk!
– Hey Suzanne, welcome to Dinxperlo! Luuk, thank you for having us here. First of all: You have an amazing looking property! Welcome to Dinxperlo. Yes, it is a great building, isn’t it! We have been in this location since 2012 and we’re very proud of it. It is a great improvement in comparison with the old location. Because originally you are a very old company, right? Yes, we are a very old company. Last year we celebrated our 100th anniversary. That was 2017. It is a family-run business, third generation. An old company indeed. Can you tell me a bit more about Wire Weaving Dinxperlo? Yes, we are a company with 85 employees and we are based in the town with the same name, Dinxperlo. These 85 people are involved with weaving and welding mesh. We will make a round through the production area later on and then you will be able to see that our personnel are really skilled, it is all specialists that we employ. And what kind of products do you manufacture? We produce woven and welded mesh, filters and sieves. And when it comes to Royal Brinkman specifically, we manufacture welded mesh for horticulture so for the flower cutting industry. In collaboration with the specialist, we ensure that every square inch of a greenhouse is being used, in order to allow the horticulturist maximum output. And what makes your product so special? Why should a grower choose your products? What we do is produce material that has an absolute dimensional stability. If you work with a plant robot, this dimensional stability is essential, because otherwise, during the planting, a wire could be touched and you don’t want that to happen. So we feel very confident about this dimensional stability. And this here is a product ready to be shipped to a client. That’s great to see! Luuk, thank you very much for today’s tour, thanks again for having us! My pleasure.
